General description:
I believe it takes great courage to explore our experiences, confront our problems, and dare to change ourselves. I am here to walk alongside you in this journey, to support your self-discovery, well-being, and growth. I aim to provide a warm, non-judgmental space where we can collaboratively explore and deeply engage with the issues you have brought to therapy. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (#009137). I am based in Ottawa providing individual counselling/psychotherapy services in English to individuals 18 years of age and older in Ontario.
I work from an anti-oppressive, feminist, and multicultural stance. I use an integrative approach that explores a person’s past, present, and future using principles and techniques from Attachment Theory, Mindfulness-based therapies, Compassion Focused Therapy, and Existential Therapy. I also use somatic practices that acknowledge the mind-body connection.
Some of the areas I have experience working with are depression, anxiety, non-monogamy/poly/open relationships, sexual concerns, trauma, self-harm, self-esteem, body image, relationship and family problems, and grief and loss. I welcome clients of all backgrounds. I'm LGBTQ, non-monogamous, and kink friendly.
This service is known to be welcoming to:
2SLGBTQ+ communities
Trans/nonbinary people (explicitly)
BIPoC/People of the Global Majority
