Do I need to register/is there a cost to participate?

Mostly no, but sometimes.

All of our peer groups and the majority of our events are free and you don’t need to register in advance. Sometimes we do offer program that requires registration if we’re running a skill development workshop or a closed, intentional space. Rarely there is a cost to any service or program we offer and when there is it is sliding scale.

During COVID-19 we are not acceting any clothing or book donations at this time.

Amazing! We’re putting together a fundraising guide to make this process easier for folks. Until then, send Carling an email (carling@kindspace.ca) with any questions you have!

Is this a space I can hangout in, even if I'm not "accessing" services?

Yes. Kind is a community space which means whenever the space is open you are welcome to come a chill in the back.

We do share the space with another organization so during the day we ask that folks hang out in the program room in the back and respect the people working in the open space at the front.

What are your operating hours?

Our hours are listed on the homepage and are updated when there are holidays. Generally we are open in the afternoon and evenings on weekdays and closed on the weekend. If you are looking to talk to one of the staff or board members, the best way to reach us is to email and schedule an appointment

Who do I contact for media interviews?

We’re pretty selective on the interviews we do. If you would like to interview someone from Kind about a specific program or event send us an email.

Where can I find 'x' resource? Do you provide 'y' service?

We’re rebuilding our resource directory! We’re hoping to have it launched by the end of August with an easy to navigate format and search function. This question will be updated once that is complete. Until then, reach out to the staff and we’ll do out best to direct you.

Does Kind only do peer groups?
