Letters of Support – Refugee hearings

A lesser known service that we have offered for several years that we are more formally recognizing.

Kind can provide a sealed letter of support to any LGBTTQ person preparing for their IRB (Immigration and Refugee Board) Hearing.

In order to issue a letter we need:

  • To meet you in person – which can be done by appointment or drop-in during our regular hours
  • Your passport or refugee protection application number

We are also looking to build our database of community members, groups, lawyers, organizations, etc. that assist newcomers in helping to ease the transition into the broader Ottawa community as well as LGBTTQ communities. If you know of people and places we can reach out to please email us at welcome@kindspace.ca.
