Kim joined the board of directors in 2014. She soon took over leadership of the grants portfolio, and was elected as board vice-president in 2015 and most recently becoming the acting President.
In 2003, when Kim moved to Ottawa to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Ottawa, she knew absolutely nobody—until she started volunteering at Kind (then Pink Triangle Services). The organization was so helpful and provided such an excellent introduction to the Ottawa queer community that Kim jumped at the chance to serve on the board of directors.
Her priorities for Kind include strengthening Kind’s community relations, bridging gaps in services, and building resources.
Her hobbies include cosplay, gardening, weight lifting, and building things.
